4th Generation Media

Speaker: Bruce Curling, Anark

Anark Corporation & the Cascade SIGGRAPH Chapter present 4th Generation
Media.

Anark’s Bruce Curling will give a brief introduction of Anark, who they are,
what they do etc. Bruce will cover the concept of 4th generation media and
how it relates to hardware penetration in the market right now. He will then
talk about the potential applications of interactive 3d multimedia, and how
customers like Microsoft and nVidia are using it to do product launches,
marketing presentations, screen savers, and web presentations.

In the second part, Bruce will run through some presentations that have been
created by actual customers using their product. These will range from a
product launch from nVidia for their GForce4 graphics card to an interactive
solar system learning exhibit being used at the Denver Museum of Natural
History. Bruce will try to be as diverse as possible in this part, as
different members of Cascade SIGGRAPH will have different interests in the
utilization of the technology.

Third, Bruce will open Anark Studio, and show how easy it is to create an
incredible presentation in a short amount of time.

This talk will most directly impact people who are currently using products
like 3d Studio Max, Maya, Lightwave, or any Macromedia product.
